Anatomic & Clinical Pathologist – Reading, PA
Penn State Health System seeks an Anatomic/Clinical Pathologist to join a highly experienced, senior pathologist as part of a group practice providing pathology and laboratory services at St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading PA. SJMC is a 220-bed regional community hospital in the Penn State Health multi-hospital system. Clinical service will focus on general Surgical Pathology, Cytopathology, and Clinical Pathology including Blood Bank. There are no autopsy responsibilities. Based at SJMC, Reading, PA, they will have a unique opportunity to practice pathology in a regional community hospital setting, with access to all the resources and expertise of a partner academic medical center which includes a strong and collegial group of 40 faculty members in Clinical, Anatomic, and Experimental Pathology in the Department of Pathology at the Hershey Medical Center.
The successful candidate will receive an academic appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor of Pathology at the Penn State College of Medicine and will be a member of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania are required for the position.
