- AP/CP Pathologist
Description
Peoria Tazewell Pathology Group (PTPG), an independent private practice group is currently recruiting for three Anatomic and Clinical Pathologists (AP/CP) to join our collegial group of 14 Pathologists, 4 Pathologist Assistants, and 2 clinical PhDs. Our practice serves multiple hospitals in Central Illinois and Southeastern Iowa. Two positions are available for our Peoria, Illinois region and one position is available for our Quad Cities region along the Southeast Iowa/Illinois border. Subspecialty training in Gastrointestinal/Liver Pathology is required for one of the Peoria positions. We are open to all other subspecialties for the remaining two AP/CP positions, although Dermatopathology training is desired but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in routine surgical pathology, frozen sections, on-site evaluation of biopsies/FNAs, gyn and non-gyn cytopathology, other clinical laboratory duties as required
- Grossing is performed by PAs
- Participation in tumor board cases
- Call is light and evenly distributed among the group
- Good communication skills, commitment to teamwork, and an interest in pursuing leadership positions

This partnership track position is available immediately, and upcoming or recent graduates and experienced Pathologists are encouraged to apply. Requirements
- MD/DO with AP/CP board certification or eligibility, and valid medical license in Illinois and Iowa
- GI/Liver subspecialty training is required for one position in Peoria
- All other subspecialities will be considered for the remaining two AP/CP positions (one in Peoria and one in the Quad Cities)
