Description
Lima Pathology Associates, Inc., is seeking a board-certified/ eligible AP/CP Pathologist for a partnership track position in Lima, Ohio, starting July 2027.
We are a community hospital based private practice with six board-certified AP/CP pathologists and three ASCP certified pathologist assistants servicing six local hospitals and multiple other providers in West Central Ohio. Our group was incorporated in 1969 and has been the sole pathology group at Bon Secours Mercy St. Rita’s Medical Center since then. Our subspecialists include a board-certified dermatopathologist, two hematopathologists and a cytopathologist. We provide medical directorship at all hospitals. We actively serve in various roles such as medical staff leadership, hospital-based committees, and tumor board presenters. As a community-based practice our typical specimen log includes: lung, breast, colon, renal, prostate, GI, skin, liver and bone marrows.
The perfect candidate will possess a strong general pathology skillset and is willing to serve in hospital leadership roles, does not mind daily travel to different locations, and desires a long-term position with plenty of time off for a comfortable work-life balance. Pathology Volume/Cases:
Surgical volumes – approximately 29,000 per year
Non-gyn cytology and FNAs– 2600 per year
Bone marrows-80
Pap smears- 2300
Frozen sections-600
EBUS ROSE- 50
No autopsy coverage
Rotating weekly/weekend call among pathologists (covering Frozen section and CP issues)

Requirements
Qualified Candidates:
AP/CP certification or board eligibility – Fellowship training a plus
Comfortable with the full scope of Anatomical and Clinical Pathology
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Active Ohio Medical License or eligible to obtain
