Houston Methodist Hospital System
Houston Methodist Pathology Associates (MPA), Houston, Texas, is seeking several full-time AP/CP or AP Board-certified pathologists with broad general expertise and experience. Several positions are available at our outlying Methodist System hospitals. Candidates with subspecialty training in surgical pathology or other subspecialty areas in anatomic pathology are especially encouraged to apply.
MPA is the exclusive provider of pathology services for the Houston Methodist Hospital System (HMHS) and currently has 90 faculty and 40 trainees. The HMHS has eight hospitals (approximately 2,700 beds) in the Houston area and continues to experience a period of rapid growth and service expansion. Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital opened in March 2025 and a new medical tower in the Texas Medical Center will add 400 beds and is scheduled to open in 2027.
The successful candidates must be committed to excellence in patient care and have or be able to obtain a Texas medical license. The individuals will be part of a large, very collegial pathology group practice that provides diagnostic services to all hospitals in HMHS. The successful candidates will have a proven track record of providing outstanding diagnostic service, and of working very effectively with departmental colleagues and other medical staff members, laboratory technical personnel, and hospital administration.
HMHS has a primary academic affiliation with Weill Cornell Medical College, and successful candidates may be eligible for a faculty appointment. Opportunities exist for optional collaborative research interactions and other academic endeavors.
