Description
Inova Fairfax Hospital, a 923-bed medical center serving Northern Virginia and the Washington DC metro area is seeking two (2) outstanding AP or AP/CP Board Certified, Breast fellowship trained Pathologists to add to our team and support our growing breast service. Additional areas of expertise is desirable. Candidates with a minimum of 3 years of sign out experience are preferred. Sign-out responsibility, on-call duties, frozen section coverage and conferences are shared with other members of the pathology faculty. Sign-out is subspecialty focused and system wide. Digital pathology is being implemented with AI tools this year. While not required, research and education of rotating pathology residents, medical students and multidisciplinary GME programs is encouraged. There are 50 current pathologists at Inova Healthcare system who possess a broad range of subspecialty expertise.

Requirements
Board Certification: Anatomic and Clinical Pathology - AP/CP
Fellowship training: Breast Fellowship
Certification: Must obtain advanced certification in applicable modality within one year of training; BLS from the American Heart Association
Licensure: Currently hold or ability to obtain an unrestricted VA medical licensure
Credentialing: Ability to obtain successful medical staff credentials throughout all of our Inova pathology locations
