Cytopathologist/Surgical Pathologist Private Practice Position
Dahl-Chase Pathology Associates, a private practice group in Bangor, Maine, who is now in partnership with Versant Diagnostics is seeking an AP/CP board-certified pathologist with board certification in cytopathology to join a dynamic group of 16 pathologists with multiple subspecialty certifications. Dahl-Chase has an in-house laboratory which includes histology, cytopathology, molecular diagnostics, and flow cytometry and is currently in the process of implementing a digital pathology platform which will allow integration with other practices withing the growing Versant network.
The cytopathologist position encompasses the full scope of cytopathology including sign-out of gynecologic, non-gynecologic and FNA specimens (~4000 non-gyns and ~1600 FNAs/yr), and rapid adequacy evaluations (~250/yr).
This position also includes participation on the surgical pathology service (~65,000 surgical specimens/yr), autopsy service (~10 autopsies/yr) and AP/CP call coverage (~4 weeks/yr per pathologist).
This is a full-time opportunity in a practice serving an estimated population base of 600,000 people, resulting in a wide array of specimens from a variety of hospital and clinical settings.
