HIGHLIGHTS
Florida Cancer Specialists and Research Institute’s (FCS) Central Pathology Laboratory located in Fort Myers, Florida, is seeking an AP & CP Board-Certified full-time Hematopathologist. CAP-accredited, our 20K sq ft state-of-the-art clinical and pathology laboratory utilizes advanced technologies to serve FCS physicians, offering services in molecular diagnostics, flow cytometry, cytogenetics, histology, clinical chemistry, and immunology. Laboratory samples are collected at each Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) site and transported daily to our central laboratory facility for expert analysis and evaluation.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Analyzing various pathology cases including bone marrow and peripheral blood cases.
Determine and request appropriate ancillary testing as needed to complete diagnosis.
Provide guidance to the medical oncologists as needed.
Additional responsibilities may be needed, determined by workload.

REQUIREMENTS
- An allopathic US medical school graduate (AMG, MD), an osteopathic medical school graduate (DO), or an international medical school graduate (IMG, MD) with a valid Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) Certificate.
- Approved completion of Fellowship in Hematopathology required.
- Board-certification in Hematopathology required.
- Approved residency completion and board certification in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology preferred.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as Medical Doctor with the State of Florida Board of Medicine.
- Fluency in the English language and the ability to communicate effectively to physicians and other employees.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion while performing duties.
- Experience of 3-5 years preferred.
