Medical Director, Transfusion Medicine

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School invites applications for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level in the Division of Transfusion.

The Transfusion Medicine Medical Director will hold a crucial leadership role in maintaining patient safety, regulatory compliance, and advancing transfusion medicine practices within RWJMS and RWJUH. This faculty member will serve as both a collaborator and leader of the multidisciplinary transfusion team at RWJMS and RWJUH; will be an active participant in the educational programs of the Department, including teaching medical students, residents, and will be expected to engage in productive research activities. The Division is responsible for Transfusion Medicine and Blood Banking services at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH), the school’s 650-bed tertiary care core teaching hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.
