Pathology Laboratory Associates (PLA), a large physician-owned pathology group based in Tulsa, OK, is seeking a well-trained BC/BE AP/CP Pathologist with good communication skills and excellent general surgical pathology skills for a full-time partnership track position. 3-5 years of experience is preferred but not required. Based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, PLA comprises 25 pathologists serving hospitals, clinics and physician offices in eastern Oklahoma and southeastern Kansas. The group also has multiple subspecialists available for internal consultation in most areas of pathology, including dermatopathology, cytopathology, hematopathology, GI, GU and GYN pathology. Expectations include general AP sign out and frozen sections. Other responsibilities would vary based on individual expertise and desire, which includes general clinical pathology sign out duties, medical staff leadership and medical management of clinical laboratories. Special interests or board certification in Cytopathology, Gynecologic pathology, and Dermatopathology will be given higher preference.
PLA serves hospital systems from an independent 12-acre campus in Tulsa. The pathology core lab in Tulsa includes full-service cytology, histology, IHC and molecular testing with modern information technology systems and high-speed connectivity to all covered hospitals.
