Position Description
The UT Southwestern Medical Center Department of Pathology is seeking an accomplished academic pathologist at any rank with subspecialty training and expertise in Breast Pathology. Cytopathology training and expertise (including with FNA material, body fluids and PAPs) are also highly desirable. In addition to patient care activities, the selected candidate will be expected to participate in medical student and house staff teaching and develop or continue his/her research program. Outstanding opportunities for collaborative, translational research are available with members of both basic science and clinical departments throughout UT Southwestern. Qualifications
The position requires subspecialty training and expertise in Breast Pathology and demonstrated accomplishments in research. Excellent communication skills and additional expertise in Cytopathology are highly desirable. The applicant must have an MD, MD/PhD, or DO; BE/BC by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic/Clinical Pathology or Anatomic Pathology; and have or be eligible for a Texas medical license. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishment and experience.
This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information.
