Hartford Pathology Associates, P.C. is seeking an AP/CP Board-Certified Pathologist to assume the role Staff Pathologist at The Hospital of Central Connecticut (THOCC) located in New Britain CT.   The department currently handles approximately 9,200 cases along with 1,900 cytology 150 bone marrow cases and 15 autopsies annually. Responsibilities include sign out of surgical pathology, possible supervision of the clinical laboratory and active participation in the hospital activities (such as tumor boards, quality improvement initiatives and other system wide meetings). Cytology and or bone marrow sign-out is desirable but not essential. There are 4, full-time pathologists at THOCC, who also function as part of a seven-pathologist group covering two regional hospitals (which are both part of Hartford Healthcare network).  

Candidates must have excellent diagnostic skills in surgical pathology, be personable, excel at communication, and possess the skills and talent to practice as an independent community hospital pathologist. Candidates with prior work experience and recent graduates will be considered for this position.
