Surgical Pathologist Opportunities | Comprehensive Pathology Services
Silver Cross Hospital | New Lenox, Illinois
Our physician-led group—a collaborative team of six pathologists spanning junior to senior career stages—is recruiting two surgical pathologists to join us over the next 24 months. We are committed to clinical excellence and are looking for long-term partners who value a supportive, subspecialty-focused practice.
The Positions
- We are looking for candidates with subspecialty expertise or a strong interest in:
- Position 1: Breast and Gynecologic Pathology
- Position 2: Gastrointestinal and/or Genitourinary Pathology
- Pathologists in training and seasoned practitioners are encouraged to apply
Compensation & Partnership
- We offer a transparent financial structure designed to reward your expertise and longevity.
- Salary: $300,000 – $400,000+, commensurate with experience and training.
- Performance-Based Bonus: Annual bonus distributed to every pathologist in the group.
- Partnership Track: 3-year track to partnership.
- Benefits: Comprehensive health/dental, retirement plans, and 6 weeks of vacation annually.
- Relocation & Signing: Relocation allowance and a signing bonus are available for qualified candidates.
The Practice Profile
- Focus: Dedicated subspecialty surgical pathology. Cytopathology and Hematopathology are handled by other members of the group.
- Workload: Approximately 18,000 surgical cases annually (predominantly small biopsies and larger resections).
- Schedule: 4-day work week.
- Environment: A collaborative, physician-led setting that emphasizes mentorship and peer consultation.
